Check awarriorsjourney_'s Instagram I present you the pumpkin spice churro  delicious in ever way. It’s actually the only pumpkin spice thing I’ve had since the season started  .
Anywho, I love this season. It used to secretly stress me out. Always resisting and trying to banish all “bad” foods led me to eating all of them in a single weekend. My cravings were just so strong... at least it felt that way. Once I established the right nutrition and mindset habits, this “fear” dramatically reduced itself. I️ had an amazing time with my mother getting our nails done and having lunch, then I️ had an amazing time by myself getting a massage and then I had a great time with my love at dinner! Today I️ also had an awesome day at an amazing spa!! I️t was much needed relaxing girl time! Tomorrow I️ will be having a small party with my family and close friends! This might seem like a lot just for my bday but I️ decided that this year I really wanted to do things for ME and do the things that I️ truly want to do and enjoy. I️m not about partying anymore, I’d rather enjoy some relaxing time with the people I️ love and practice self care and mindfulness. We lost him ten months ago but it seems a lot longer in some ways.

But it also feels like I haven’t fully processed it yet. I feel like I haven’t fully felt it yet.

Something I realized in the last week is that I build a wall around my feelings. I shut them out and now I’m not sure how to access them.

What I do feel is not very deep and I know there is more hidden somewhere.
.
Right now a mostly feel angry.  Angry he won’t be there to walk my sister down the aisle.  Angry that he only met his first grandchild and she probably won’t even remember him.
.
But I am sure the tears will come uncontrollably one day at an ill-timed moment.
.
Grieving is such a difficult, messy process and it different for everyone. So I’m trying to give myself grace to take it as it comes.

I want to empower a massive community of girls who are honest about their own struggles & support each other through theirs, who rise up through their darkness, knowing that regardless of what happens they are worthy. A community of powerful girls creating change we so desperately need.

Photo on the left: that's me in my early twenties. Working what some would call a "dream job", living in a BEAUTIFUL place, surrounded by people on vacation having the best time ever. Every single person who met me during this time (hundreds of them) comment on how fun, happy, and magnetic my personality was. Only problem? I was faking it. Yes, my heart was the same and I'm the same person underneath it all but I was completely and utterly lost. Looking for happiness in all the wrong places.
