Singer Spotlight: Learn more about our summer intern, Sade Brooks Thanks for a great job this summer, Sade!
Hi, BCC community! My name is Sade. I'm 17 years old and I sing in the Premier Choir at BCC. I first joined BCC because my mother thought it would be a great opportunity for me.
Q. How long have you been in BCC?
A. This season will be my ninth and final season with the Boston Children's Chorus.
Q. Why is BCC special to you?
A. BCC has expanded my perspective of people, and the world. Before we start most pieces, we're given context and lightly analyze the lyrics. We try and channel the composers emotion, all while relating the piece to our own lives. Then we share. There are moments of laughter, then there are emotional moments. Either way, as a chorus, we connect with each other. This is what makes BCC special. There's a strong sense of unity and understanding among us, whether it's in practice or on stage, and this is what I will miss the most. I'll also miss all of our adventures.
Q. What is your most memorable moment at BCC thus far?
A. My most memorable moment at BCC is when we toured London, and got to sing with all of the international choirs.
Q. What do you do when you're not singing?
A. When I'm not singing, chances are I'm with friends and family or preparing for college.
Q. What is your spirit animal?
A. My spirit animal is a goat because like them, I am the greatest of all time.
