Inktober today is an extremely old art redraw! Also a good opportunity to test the new #scrawlrboxsupplies that arrived today. The sketchbook's pages from the box aren't durable at all, a tiny bit of erasing makes the surface come away and generally messes up whatever I'm doing. Everything else seems good though.
The original(second pic) is from when I was 12 or 13 probably, and while I don't think it looks awful, it wasn't ambitious at all, so it's hard to judge it. At that point I was pretty decent at drawing images that were similar to one another, just with different characters, facing forward. It was drawn on Flipnote Studio for DSi, which consumed my life as a youngster. It's where I started out drawing, and met two of my oldest internet friends (hey Emily, hey Aaron). In true Flipnote tradition, I made sure to limit today's inktober to two colours.
I really loved magical girl anime when I was younger, and Tokyo Mew Mew was one of my first ever anime shows! It's a joy to draw Ichigo again. Mew Ichigo doesn't look as nice as regular Ichigo, but that's ok.
