- ➡️⬇️ WHAT'S YOUR MOTIVATION?⁉️ ⬇️⬅️ - 💭 One of the questions I frequently get asked, is "how are you so consistently motivated?". So as it's I thought what better time to share with you guys how I keep motivated and more importantly, how you can too! - 🔵 YOU HAVE TO WANT IT! - This is absolutely crucial. If you don't actually want something, you'll loose interest. Simple! And when I say want, I don't just mean you tell people you want to achieve or do something. I mean it has to be a burning desire. If you're to really achieve something, it almost has to be more of a case of needing than wanting. - 🔴 FRIENDS - Surround yourself with people who have similar goals/aspirations. Having people around you who want to achieve the same thing you do will most probably help you drive forward and propel you towards your goals. You'll thrive off each others enthusiasm and can help motivate one another. After all, how much easier is getting up to go to the gym if you have someone to go with⁉️ Don't surround yourself with negative people, that don't understand what you're working towards, as they'll only discourage you... THEY'RE THE FAKE FRIENDS 🐍 - 🔵 CLARITY OF VISION - I'm gonna keep this simple, and straight to the point. Your goal has to be CLEAR! I'm constantly chasing a better body. In reality, I don't think I'll ever be happy. With that being said, I'm always happy with the progress I make and I have a lot of clear, short term goals that help push me closer to where I want to be. If you're vision isn't clear, how can you plan accordingly? Even if you set a long term goal, that isn't necessarily where you want to finish, at least you have something clear and definitive to work towards 💯 - 💥 Start your week of with a BANG! Do something positive to better yourself. There is no greater feeling than achieving. Go out there and GET IT 💥

Good morning! Today was leg day and also the start of my second week at the gym. Usually I’ll start with 10mins cardio to warm up but today I stretched and went straight into my workouts. I load the bars and a guy comes and says ‘those are baby weights for you’. I explain I’m new back and taking my time to gain strength and flexibility. After my last set another guy comes and asks how many squats I did. I said 4 sets of 12. He looks disturbed and says I should take it easy so I don’t lose too much weight. I smile and tell him to watch this space 😏. This is typical; men at the gym ‘mansplaining’. They mean well. Feel they know more and most importantly have the typical male entitlement. Don’t feel bad or irritated. These same people can be helpful showing you new exercises later. Just explain you have a plan (because you should have a planned schedule) and keep doing your thing. But remember, if you are going to the gym, have a plan/schedule. Lots of workout plans online and you can always google those moves that you don’t understand. Everything is on YouTube.
